I always thought ice-hockey in its free flowing state (like the Olympics) without the checking, roughing and fighting is esthetically much more appealing then the current NHL brand we have right now.

Maybe it's time for a change??!

Ak-47 the game is going in that direction. Eventually it will be like house league hockey or women's hockey with more skill at the NHL level. I am a dinosaur on this because I loved the passion and intensity and rivalries of the old days.

I think there is an ongoing study on what causes ALS. It is thought that too many hits to the head could be a causive factor. Football, hockey and soccer players are at greatest risk because of concussions. It is thought that Lou Gehrig contracted ALS because of pitches that hit his head.

Teach your kids to play golf and.or tennis. Less chances they will get concussions.
