Someone in another thread made a comment about porn being a shitty sex education medium.

I agree that porn is a poor educator and gives false impressions to guys. As well it probably ruins more relationships than it helps. I'd say the same for all aspects of strip clubs, massage parlors and escorts.

The only useful part is knowing where the parts are and how they fit, after that it's best to find a mate.

I personally think that watching porn makes you more sexually educated then reading those old dusty textbooks that we had to read in grade 8 health class.

I've met people in the porn industry and learned that there are a lot of "tricks of the trade".

A lot of the male talent take tons of pills, there's one specifically that brings more blood to your member so the erection looks bigger and the veins are more prominent, a friend of mine tried it and it got so blood engorged his member started bleeding

Also there are exercises such as kegels, training methods such as squeeze and hold method, and some people even put a wet towel on their member and do "pull ups".

I wish I had the time and inclination to do all those things, just goes to show it's not an easy job these guys have.

I think that porn is a good ressource to open up your mind to the very wide range of activities, fetishes, and possibilities when it comes to sex. It can also be a good medium to realize that there is no such thing as "normal" when it comes to sex: many people have hang ups about their desires and sexuality. If more of those people were to watch porn, they would realize very fast that there are lots of other people with the same fetishes/desires. Basically, everything you can think of when it comes to sex, someone somewhere made a porn video of it and put it online.

So, porn can be a good ressource to make you think: "hey, that anal stuff looks like fun, maybe I should give it a try". But it's a bad ressource if you want to learn how to do anal safely and happily.

Probably the worst information porn gives the public is that it's okay to have bareback sex with strangers. I know the industry takes their own precautions but some people believe what they see on the screen and want that for themselves.

What we're saying is that young males who get all their sexual education from porn are unlikely to learn what a woman actually likes or needs from the act. They'll learn dangerous (ATM, gagging) activities that degrade women because that's what's portrayed. They will learn how to get themselves off, of course, and if that's your only goal in sex then fine.

But to think that mainstream porn on youjizz or tube8 constitutes the full range of sexual enjoyment for both sexes is ludicrous.

I think you can extend this to young men having their first sexual experiences through hiring SP's. They should let the SP know up front so she can limit the menu to the real world .
