Does anyone know of a reputable site to place a $50 bet for a football game this sunday? I looked at one but it seemed complicated. Something easy, safe and understandable.

Thanks

I have used wsex.com and found them easy to use. Also a British company, www.williamhill.co.uk, you can use your credit card to pay, and payment is often made to you within minutes of a sporting final.

If you would like any sports info, you could also visit www.everyedge.com, a group of handicappers sharing information on most sports. They also have links to some offshore bookmakers who are quite reputable.
Hope this helps.

William Hill is a good pick for a beginner. It's safe (it's a large, established bookmaker with 1500 outlets in the UK) with a simple interface. You can bet in CAD and they will pay winnings back to your credit card which is rare.

Note: Apparently some Canadian banks are not allowing Visa/Mastercard deposits to gambling sites. CIBC (for sure) and BMO (so they tell me) are still okay.
