Just curious. Other than Mr. Lucky (who won $10 million in Lotto 649), has anybody on this Board ever won a lottery?

More heads are going to roll. There are many other governement agencies who have directors who do the same thing, they have little regard for taxpayers money. Keep watching the news as they uncover more crap like this, and it's not just at the director level, this shit happens at all management levels, the government waste is appalling.

Before condemning them, I'd like to know exactly what they are accused of doing....

This crap has been going on for years - and McDummy just figured it out? Apparently the opposition has been filing Access requests for over a year now and have been stonewalled on every one...

Small prizes, largest single win was $10 000 ( that's considered a major prize by OLG and you have to undergo a background check and be interviewed by OPP before they issue the chq )

Apparently, they were fired for two major reasons ( and maybe a bunch of lesser major reasons).

1) Incompetence
a) Ticket sellers and their relatives won much more than their fair share.
b) Offering a Mercedes when GM was asking Ontario for bailout money.
c) Really strange that Rockslinger never won the jackpot:confused: .

2) Reckless spending
Apparently, there is a 500 page document describing their reckless spending habits.

I wish I won that much. I've only won $100.

lol..That did not last long. Probably half of that went to MPA and sp
The other half I lost trying to win 649. I did win a little more after that - small amounts $5000 or less. The OPP guys at OLG are actually quite nice though I did wonder whether their services would be better utilized out in the field as opposed to sitting in an office at OLG.

You have a better chance with the smaller lotteries ( pick 3, pick4, pro-line, keno etc)
The CBC did a feature a while back on this guy who does the sports lotteries for a living. There is some skill involved. He claims to make $300,000 a year.

yes. I think so too. There is a skill aspect to it. Most of it is luck
but taking some care to prepare your numbers can sometimes get you there.
In January this year someone won the top Keno price twice to a total of $500 000.

If I won a big lottery 3 million or more!

1. Get a lawyer
2. Get a really good financial planner
3. Pick up my cheque, and let the OPP see the list of lovlies that would be
getting some:rolleyes:
4. Move into the Soho Met residences while my new house is being built, and
see some lovlies.
5. Vanish for awhile, possibly a year.
6. Never have a land line again. Yes, I would give in and buy a cell phone. LOL.

Dream is over, wake up. Good things like that don't happen to me. LOL.

You will be amazed at how many relatives and friends you never knew you had. (No, I am not speaking from experience.) Remember that guy who won $30 million? All of a sudden 3 women claimed they were his wife:eek: .
