Older PDA Phones - Recommendation?

I see that www.factorydirect.ca has some older Blackberry PDAs for about $70 that are unlocked and will work with Rogers. I am thinking of taking the plunge.

I am really looking for a cell phone with PIM organizer features. I might surf the net a tiny bit and have ZERO interest in e-mail to my phone. Most phones have a primitive calendar but I do not see to do lists or memo pads on most of the non-PDA ones.

The Blackberry 7290 with Bluetooth looked OK. Now that I have the bug (PDA without e-mail) I was going to look at what Treo or others have to offer. For this price, I can afford to be wrong and just go back to my old phone if it does not work out.

This means I am looking at older or obsolete phones. The ideal phone for me is one that is obsolete because of poor e-mail support which I do not want anyway.

Any thoughts or experience with these older phones? A hint about the cost of data plans with Rogers (for light internet surfing) would be useful as well.

Ta ta.
