No.

It will taste like shit if you cook it. I bought some pasta once in a small store (funky little meat shop) and it tasted so bad, I chucked it. Upon closer examination, it was 8 or so months past its BBD.

Pasta is cheap. Throw it out.

I presume it's dried pasta. Boil a small amount and taste it. Most of the time old pasta is fine. Dried pasta is very hardy. Best Before Dates on pasta are probably a legal requirement.

I think I once threw out very, very old pasta because it started crumbling.

If everyone followed Best Before Dates, none of us would ever get laid.

Once you opened it, see if there are anything strange with it.
Smell if it smells odd.

Dried pasta, if it's stored well can last past the bb date.

I've had plenty of pasta that was over 2 years old . Still have lots . No problem with the taste or it crumbling . I'm still here so it's not poison . Not going to throw out something that is still good . Besides I've had plenty of things that were no good before the best before date such as half and half .

If I discovered it in my pantry, I'd probably use it.
It's only dried pasta.

It's still fine but I wouldn't use it in a nice dish like a bolognese or carbonara where you want the actual pasta to taste good. But if you just cover it in tomato sauce, it'll be fine.

Or a good idea would be to break the noodles and use them in a flavourful soup.

I was brought up not to waste anything.

It should be fine if it is dried pasta. Soup is an excellent, safe choice as MissCroft says.

But really it should be good in almost anything that isn't really focused on the pasta quality itself. If it is just a reason to put sauce on it, you're good.
