My brand new dell laptop will not run some of my older games - 'master of orion' and 'risk' - any suggestions?

If you have a legit copy of Windows XP, you could try installing it within Windows 7 under "Windows XP compatibility mode." It's a bit of a hassle though.

If you have a legit copy of Windows 7 Professional or better, there is a free XP virtual machine that you can download from microsoft - search for XP Mode on their downloads site.

Didn't W7 advertise it came with a feature that let you run older programs from Vista, XP and maybe even a couple other older M$ OSs?
