Anyone who has done so is urged to return it to the place of purchase for a refund. "We do not recommend consumption of this product," the product's distributor, Bacardi Canada, said in a statement emailed to CBC News.
Oh please... If I had one of these, I'd pour half into another bottle then top each up with water. Two, two, two bottles of gin in one!

I have 4 bottles, I have only tasted one and it is mighty powerful. They were all bought at the same time at the same place. I can only assume they are all double strength.

Try some gin and chilled Mountain Dew, a splash of grenadine and a slice of lime. I am having one right now.
Here is to your health!

Pretty easy to tell. The LCBO says only 1.14 litre bottles of the product are affected, and they all have a product code of L16304 on the bottle.

Why not just dilute 50% with bottled water, and then you have approximately 40% content again

So it is 140 proof when the better gins are normally 94 proof. As DelilahRose posted, save it for use in supper strong gin and tonics this summer, rather than alcohol poisoning dry martinis. :)

Also don't pour it around open flames.

Just don't make martini's with them. Dilute to a 1 to 7-8 ratio for a standard G and T.

The batch is close to blindness territory.

Gin too strong for my taste so do not give it to me
Gin is a base, I do not know anyone that drinks gin straight. So you can dilute it to your taste.

From what I understand the alcohol content is near doubled, so if it is mixed into a drink without knowing it is like putting in a double shot. No great danger unless you consume half a bottle.

See you in Sunday! :)
Same like last time. Your coming over after church, Right?

The danger in having gin with double strength alcohol is that it may hurt the bottlers profit margin.
