Odd encounter

I received an inquiry for a 2 hour booking. I asked for a small 40$ deposit to secure the spot for a multi hour.

We agreed on the time and the deposit was accepted by me.

Just before the appointment I received a text that they are running late, okay no problem.

Then ghost...in fact I tried to call and my number was blocked.

I wonder what happened? Car accident? Family emergency? Someone playing games? Felt a little sketchy after that one.

Never had someone send a deposit then not show up. First time for everything I suppose.

It sounds like he may have gotten "cold feet". When I was occasionally ghosted in the past, I would sometimes hear back from them later on saying that they got nervous. But who knows?

T^hat's what the deposit is for. Some people lack in basic business etiquette, let alone keeping a promise. Ask 50 from now on.

Of course we go to Home Depot... and when a guy comes home with a huge smile on his face he'll simply tell Mrs that he saw a 3 in 1 tool that can screw, suck and blow.
