Organised religion is responsible for more bloodshed and slaughter than anything else in this world (Take the crusades for example), the Spanish inquisitions come to mind as well. I doubt these Bible-thumpers are concerned about breaking any laws. At least man-made laws. I'm sure they're far more preoccupied with their conception of what constitutes god's law. And as far as Mary Magdalene is concerned, I doubt that any of them would be open-minded enough to concede you that point, even if you showed them some form of evidence, which I don't believe actually exists outside of "The Da Vinci Code". Holy Blood & Holy Grail contains the same kind of supposition re Jesus & Mary M's relationship, but I don't think there's any historical record for it...

How exactly does prostitution "hurt children"?? Or even involve them at all?

I happen to know a couple of gentlemen in Nova Scotia who are looking for services and who regret that it is not as easy to find there as it is in other provinces. Aren't these so-called Christians imposing on these gentlemens' rights, as Canadians?

It seem to me that Jesus never attacked or persecuted prostitutes or their clients. Rather, he led by example -- and some interpretations of his example have him fraternizing with prostitutes (although there is recent dispute as to whether these women were actual prostitutes or simply women of independent wealth and influence).

I think _true_ christians should try to model themselves in Jesus' example. Jesus didn't seek to persecute or attack anyone. Rather, he extended understanding and forgiveness, and ministered to the needs of others.

Let those "Christians" who are without sin cast the first stone.

there actually is proof that she was an apostle herself. Dead Sea scrolls contained more gospels than the catholic church wants us to believe there are. Other gospels were suppressed and ordered destroyed but monks in Isreal hid em in the caves.

How about a link, fridrikk? I know about the Dead Sea scrolls, but I don't think they contain any conclusive proof of the type of relationship that existed between Jesus & Mary Magdalene. BTW, there were NO monks in Israel who hid the Dead Sea Scrolls. They were supposedly hidden by the Essenes, a Jewish sect.
