Spoken like a true redneck Republican.......we wonder why there's so much discrimination in the world.

I predict that this preacher soon will be caught in a seedy motel with a gay prostitute.

I am more inclined to believe that fundamentalist evangelicals who preach against fornication
among men and women are more likely to be caught fondling a female prostitute or member
of his congregation. Ted Haggard aside, conduct of evangelicals in general seems to be more
consistent with their anti-gay preaching.

I agree, but many won't see it that way.
Perhaps they should listen to the video (although I admit I jumped through the thing) from what I heard the diatribe could have been delivered anywhere, there was nothing "church like" about it at all.

This is more poor psychology than it is poor religion.
yup, brain chemsitry went foul there...btw, being the republican of this forum..what do you think of the same sex marriage issue that Obama and Biden recently supported?..Do you think there are more republicans who support gay marriage in the GOP , than in previous years? (just read an article where this could be a hot bed issue in the POTUS race)

I am just curious if anyone has read the follow ups to this initial sermon, both by Harris and others. He certainly never said one should beat the gay out of your kids.

It is complex rather than simple. Among the points involved: In part it is generational an 18 year old is likely to see the issue in a different manner than a 60 year old; it is in part regional someone in Alabama or Texas is likely to see this differently than someone in Pennsylvania or New Hampshire; it is in part a matter of terminology i.e. many people are perfectly willing to accept Civil Unions which convey all the rights of marriage, but do not want the term Marriage used. Is society changing, yes.
