North Brampton accom

I have a friend with an enormous salary. Not enough to buy a house in North York of course.

I was wondering if anyone can comment on north Brampton? He wants his kids to grow up around white people and appreciates nature more than most. ANybody live up there?

Actually I was not referring to blacks but other races like asian, greeks, italians, jews, etc. I didn't think that these were "bad" neighbourhoods.

Back to the original question- North Brampton seems to have a fairly high percentage of Indians. Seems to me they make pretty good neighbours. The crime rate is low, and the house prices are reasonable. Tell your friend to think carefully about how long it will take to get to the highway, though, as this will make a huge difference in commute times.

On a side note- there's a few ethnicities on my street. Of my neighbours, the most annoying (noisy junky cars, not mowing, roaming dog, etc.) happens to be white.

He works in North Miss/Malton but currently is is living in the Russian Jew area with his kin. Doesn't like to go to the donut shop because he overhears too much.

He was a bit surprised to discover that my last girlfriend was black.

Georgetown?

Georgetown is nice but rather WASPish socially. A young, single guy of Russian Jewish extraction would be living in a social desert in Georgetown. He would be better off in a highrise near Square One in Mississagua where there is some action in the vicinity. He can just take the 410 to work each morning.

If your looking in the Brampton area I suggest Heart Lake, realy nice area lots of open spaces close to farms and conservation parks, houses are very nice as well, they start around the 300 to 400k range with very large lots. Ive done some developing in the area and for what its worth I think this will be a very up and comming place in the near future.
