Jacksonville was expected to do well this year but injuries really hampered them. Cleveland has some talent...but was soooooooo poorly coached...who knows what they can do. The saints were an enigma this year...you just never knew which team would show up. They have been a slight disappointment since losing to the Bears in the NFC Championship game 2 years ago. As far as Houston and the lions are concerned...woefully inept is all that can be said. Will they ever...well...who can say...did ANYONE...ANYONE...have the cards picked to go to the Super Bowl this year???
Houston in the 2nd half of the season was a very good team. In fact I expect them to be a good team next season and surprise a lot of people. The problem for the TExans this year were turnovers from the QB position and Matt Schaub not being able to stay on the field consistently due to injuries. I watched several Texans games and they have a very good RB in Slaton, a premier WR in Johnson , a good QB in Schaub. They have some players on defense with Mario Williams, Amobi Okoye, Demeco Ryans, etc.
IF they can limit the turnovers from the QB position and be healthy at the QB postition they have a much higher win total than they had last season.
As for CLE, they do have some talent but their problems have been on offense -dropped passes, on defense they had zero pass-rush this season. They were getting no pressure on QBs at all.
The Saints are loaded in talent offensively but defensively the secondary is weak and they did suffer some injuries in the defensive backfield as well , most notably to Mike McKenzie and Tracy Porter. Up front the need a pass-rushing end.
AS for Jacksonville the injuries to the O-line killed them this year, they couldnt run the ball effectively and they couldnt pass-protect for Garrard which led to more turnovers from the QB position than they had last year.
