Right. The risks of internal bleeding caused by daily low-dose Aspirin outweigh the anti-clotting benefits, except for older adults at high risk for, or existing, heart disease.

I believe that chewing a regular dose Aspirin asap is still recommended if a person is experiencing symptoms consistent with an actual heart attack, to try to dissolve any blood clot that may be involved...

Took first aid training refresher today and crunch down 2 asperin/asa if you have signs of pending heart attack if history of heart disease is still recommended.
