That is prolly why they booed.
If they sucked arse on the first song, and the second didn't sound any better and they paid good money for tickets I'm sure they were pissed.

Most bands sound good when recorded but when they get on stage they sound horrible, I don't mind Nickleback and I can't comment on their live perfomances but if this were the case that would suck.
For example I went to the last edgefest at Molson park and was psyched because Our Lady Peace was gonna be playing, I loved them when I was younger and even though I had a good idea that I would be dissapointed in the show because I had seen live broadcasts of them on TV before it did nothing to prepare me for the dissapointment I felt when I heard Rain open his mouth on stage.
Thank god we still had to look forward to the Hip!

I had the same experience at Edgefest years earlier with NIN. They sucked live and Reznor's voice was weak.

The Hip saved that Edgefest too, for me anyway. I've seen them live a half dozen times and they always sound great. No studio magic needed for them.

I will admit that I have seen Nickleback twice. One free concert a few years ago and another one this summer at the Molson Amphitheater. I know they are a commercial band and that their music is somewhat ‘pop’ sounding, but they do have a pretty good live show and some catchy songs! Chad Kroeger has a good live sounding voice!

That's what i thought too.
Dude there are songs by various artists that I like, that I am embarrassed to admit to liking!

For instance: "Figured You Out"

I like your pants around your feet
And I like the dirt that's on your knees
And I like the way you still say please
While you're looking up at me
You're like my favourite damn disease

And I love the places that we go
And I love the people that you know
And I love the way you can't say no
Too many long lines in a row
I love the powder on your nose…..

I remember banging a girlfriend to this song! Hot sex indeed!

I hate Nickelback. The lead singer sets a very bad example by drinking and driving, for one thing. They should throw his sorry ass in jail. Does anyone else think his face resembles a horse??

I'm surprised it took this long for this to happen.

I think they are an awful band with little (but some) talent.

They are a guilty pleasure of mine. I like to support as many Canadian bands as much as possible and I personally want to encourage as much rock & roll as possible because most of the shit out there today from rappers, boy bands, girl bands, wannabe socialite starlets, psyudo-punk-four chord-Green Day wannabe's.........ARRGH. I have just one question. Why is The Guess Who not in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame??????

That clip is about two years old, and from what I know, Nickelback was opening for the main headliner in a metal concert.

I agree, thats why I said I suppuort CDN bands "as much as possible". Remember we (Canadians) have more then a few of the "Four chord Green Day wannabe's". Hell we may lead the category.

This reminds me of Duran-Duran and NKOTB concerts in the '80s and early '90s. They suck ass on stage.

I'm not a nickleback fan, but I was told their Toronto show was good.... and they are "Canadian"... you guys are so critical.
Their new drummer did a drum solo at the Toronto concert that was pretty impressive...
