I'm organizing a gathering this May of about 10 to 20 people in that culinary wasteland known as Niagara Falls.

Anyone know of a couple of moderately-priced restaurants? I'm not looking for high-priced places but rather a nice place where we can fill our tummies before heading to the casino.

And speaking of the casino, has anyone tried the restaurants there?

There is a Montana's on Ferry Street that you could try. The Flying Saucer ( Lundy's Lane ) is always a different place to eat too.

Here and there
Puck -- Used to be a place in Lewiston that had GREAT wings (Apple Grannies or something like that??) The memory is the first thing to go (and at times I'm thankful for that...) Is the place I'm thinking of still there?

Cheers ! :)

Eateries

For modest priced with great food: The locals love Mic & Angelos and The Flying Saucer both on Lundy's lane. Great Food, Low prices. there is also a Chineese smorge on Lundy's Lane $5.95 Lunch and $8.95 Dinner---all you can eat and great. Food at the Cassino is very good too Lunch and Dinner buffet"s are quite reasonalbe (around $8.00).

Define "moderately" priced. Actually there are some fine restaurants in the "culinary wasteland" it is not Toronto by any means but I have had many excellent meals there.
Thanks so far for the reccomendations, especially Mic & Angelos and The Flying Saucer which I'll try out. By moderate I meant something like Outback which we'll probably go to one of the night.

Also, what's the Flying Saucer like?

Close enough
Frank's Tomato Pie, Lundy's Lane & Dorchester
Kettle-o-Fish on Portage Rd
For some Red Lobster and Swiss Chalet on Lundy's Lane,
Casa Mia on Portage Rd
Casa D'Oro on Victoria St
For more: Check BELL Yellow Pages
Hope this help.
I have to add though it's not a total wasteland after all if you know where to go and more important where to avoid.

Not sure what kind of food you're looking for but Red Lobster is just a short drive from Clifton Hill....somebody already mentioned Kelsey's at the top of the Hill...there's a Boston Pizza, a Mr. Greek ...Mama Mia's for Italian or the Beef Baron for Prime Rib...yummm!

The restaurant at the casino has an amazing breakfast buffet but their lunch buffet stinks. I don't know about the restaurants downstairs at the casino but there are a few - lots of fast food places.

Hope you have a good time....now I want to go, perhaps a little drive on Saturday!

Have fun! ;)

The Flying Saucer is your basic greasy spoon. Decent food at a reasonable price.

Check out the Beef Baron. Melt in your mouth prime rib. You can get a decent full-course meal for about $25. You also can't go too terribly wrong with Mama Mia's or Big Anthony's in the same vicinity.

STAY AWAY from the Dennys on Lundy's lane near Clifton Hill. It's a tourist clip joint charging $25 for a simple breakfast. They are basically trying to nail all the American tourists who don't know any better. If you really want, there's a Dennys a couple of blocks away on Lundy's lane that's much more reasonably priced

Worst case, you can always chow down at the Burger King or Wendy's on Clifton Hill.

anywhere I hang my hat
Apple Grannies

Speedo - I think its still there but since I'm from the Buffalo area I'm not 100% certain. I've had the opportunity to eat there twice in the last month while searching for a new home.
