Ok, maybe I'm living in a dream world, but I've been really busy of late and haven't really been following hockey.l I check the newspaper this monring and WTF, the Tampa Bay Lightning have the best record right now!!

Holy cow, I'd like to have a chat with Pat Quinn and find out what the heck Tampa has over our beloved blue and white. I'll note, Tampa's payroll is lower than Toronto.

Hey Mr. Dryden, one suggestion, Fire Pat Quinn and get the GM Tampa has will ya!!!!!!!!!

I would say it's a passing thing ( TB winning ) but I've been saying that the last 5 games about TB. I've also been very surprised at Boston.

Isn't it interesting Tampa using so many players that others gave up on like...

Don't forget Nikolai Khabibulin!

Pat Quinn, if your listening, help our beloved Leafs before it is too late. Your team lacks heart and won't get any until Gary Roberts comes back, unless you make a trade of course.

Plus getting rid of the heartless Mats Sundin who too often floats out there and as a leader tends to show the wrong attitude to the others.......he is talented and can dominate any game as he has proven years ago.....but needs to get more heart and provide better leadership on the ice.

Very true indeed. He's like a bar of ivory soap in an ocean. He's floating out there somewhere, but you just don't know what he's doing.

BTW, is it me or does Toronto have too many european players?

No goalie...

Now I am not a big Leaf fan, but being a citizen in the GTA i am always sucked in to the vat of watching the games and actually find myself cursing them as i watch the game on my tv. I have one thing to tell you all. NO GOALIE!! Toronto was lucky to be as good as they were the last few years. One word. CUJO!!! If you have no one to stop a 100 shots a game as he did you are not going to win a game. This team is too worried about making a pretty play then they are shooting the puck. I was always told, cross the blue line, shoot on the net and pounce on the recound. You don't score by passing the puck a thousand times.

Well,

One of the few good things about the Red Wings being in the West is that when they get to the Finals, there's a chance it'll be against one of the Original Six. Hasn't happened yet (I was pulling for the Leafs last year) but maybe it will.
The downside is only seeing the Leafs and Habs once each at the Joe.

So far, Cujo looks as though he'll be an adequate replacement for Hasek.

lack of discipline

I think the Leafs have, overall, shown themselves to be one of the least disciplined teams in the league over the past few years. Most glaring are the boneheaded plays in their own end of the ice (see last Saturday's game for sickening examples) and the stupid penalties.

i think the teams style and lack of disciplined play reflects poorly on Quinn. It probably won't get better unless he goes. He has had plenty of time to fix it, and it's not getting any better.
