MVP is either Payton or Brady

Rookie is either RGIII or Luck

You really need to see how they do in the grind to the playoffs to rate any further.

Name of the award should just be renamed to MVQB. Awards go to the QB way too often for my liking. And with more teams going to a RB by committee system and with fewer "bell cows" around the league its likely that QBs will win the award with even greater frequency moving forward.

How about Von Miller, J.J. Watt, Peanut Tillman as candidates? Nevermind, I must be dreaming in technicolor to think that these voters would give defensive players consideration. The award is a joke in my mind.

Yeah they should award the best QB, RB, FB, Reciever, TE, OL, DL, LB, S, CB, K, P as each position has vastly different skill sets and responsibilities.

I think Manning looks good for MVP

Luck for ROY although RG3 could steal it if he finishes the season strong. Both are having great seasons.

Really?

RG3 QBR 104.4 (second to Aaron Rogers at 105)
Luck QBR 76.1

RG3 17 TD to 4 INT
Luck 17 TD to 16 INT

RG3 67.1% completion
Luck 55.5% completion

Luck has more passing yards but RG3 has WAY MORE rushing yards.

... and RG3 needs to "steal" the rookie of the year awards from Luck?

This is not the MVP award where making the playoff is a huge factor...

Ive always heard...the MVP' award is being the most valuable player to their respective team...based on the regular season...
If you compare the supporting cast...RG3'.... has more to work with...remember.. Indy basically gutted their team on offence...Reggie Wayne the only hold over....
And don't count out Wilson in Seattle....although he does have lynch in the backfield....

Would be quite the story (one day a movie) if Manning is MVP and his replacement in Indy wins ROY.

I believe Indy has two games left with Houston...if he leads his team to a win in one of those two games I would think Indy makes the playoffs and Luck is a lock for ROY. Manning is a tougher call. As a dark horse, if Houston goes 15-1 I think Watt could win defensive player and MVP.

Adrian Peterson is a worthy comeback player of the year candidate but my personal choice would be Thomas Davis.

Watt is a great choice for defensive player of the year. Von Miller is definitely in the running too. And a solid case can be made for Peanut Tillman. Some have argued Aldon Smith but he would be below those other 3 guys in my personal opinion.
