One of Netflix’s highest profile upcoming shows is Vikings: Valhalla, set about 100 years after History’s Vikings. There’s a whole new cast of warlords and explorers, including famous historical figures like Leif Erikson.
One of the cast members is Irish actor Stephen Hogan. “I’m playing an English Lord in that and it picks up 100 years from the end of Vikings,” he told Express. “They’re just settling in to take over England. So, the Anglo Saxons are there and it’s fascinating.”
Not only is it fascinating, but also bloody. Or maybe the two things go together. “It’s basically like Goodfellas, you know, it’s Viking gangsters,” Hogan said. “So, it’s pretty brutal and the old order is slowly being shoved aside.”
As you can see, Hogan is pretty about the show. In fact, he might be too open. “I just did my ADR. ADR is what you do, your little dubbing when there are minor pickups,” he said. “They wanted to do that bit more on the, dare I say it, my death.
