Hi all,

Just been thinking about downloading music. Having built a pretty big library its getting hard to think of new ideas so I thought maybe we could start a thread about some of the songs on our playlists these days.....

I'll start with a few....

I really like the new rolling stones song "streets of love"

I just discovered an older song of theirs "shine a light"

the killers "Mr Brightside"

greenday "Wake Me When September Ends"

gangstar "royalty" (yeah hip hop is good too)

oasis "songbird"

delfonics "didn't I just blow your mind" (thanks to Jackie Brown, I learned of this band)

Kid Koala "Fender Bender" (cool use of turn tables this guy does some really cool scratching)

50 Cent with Mobb Deep "Outta Control" (I'm sure this is big in the SCs)

Billy Idol - Scream (a rockin track, if you liked the rebel yell era this new song is a great throwback featuring Steve Stevens on guitar and Billy pulls no punches on the vocals)

Tribe Called Quest vs Aphrodite -Once Again Remix (awesome jungle/dnb remix of the tribe song)

BB King - Lucille (a great 10 minute song about his guitar with some killer solos, great example of less is more)

God I could go on and on.

If you haven't already tried it, billboard.com is a good source for finding out what songs are currently hot. You can also go the website of your local radio station to find out.

I never listen to the radio anymore ever since I got a MP3 CD player in my car, so I always lose track of what the latest hits are.

However, there is one song that I'm still trying to find out the artist and title of.

All I have is a partial of the lyrics which go something like:

I say Hallelujah
16? minutes ???? something something something

It's an old song from the 70s I believe; it has a disco funk sound to it.

TV shows, movies, and commercials use it all the time for promotions.
