New member question on backpages, scene in general

New member (have yet to actually 'officially' join the scene) general inquiry I guess. I was looking at an add on backpages http://toronto.backpage.com/FemaleEscorts/just-1-week-small-petite-mature-thai-lady-35/10480476
and was basically wondering, is it generally 'safe' to use sites like this? Or is it all basically 'at your own risk, hope you don't get interrupted by jim and bob with baseball bats.' As I said, I'm sort of new to this. Should I just stick to places like those recommended directly by this site, or those on redzone (or is redzone just a fancier version of backpages?)? Just some basic questions I guess.

I've never used backpage but, I suspect that you have a greater risk of not getting what is advertised. As far as guys with baseball bats... not sure what to tell you about that. I stick with agencies or independents who advertise here on TERB and have never any problems. Good luck and happy hobbying!

As Shooter said, agencies and indies who advert here are your best bet.

As for BP ads, there have been a few guys who have had some bad luck with them. Many girls change numbers and names by the week. It's basically a crap shoot.

I've been using BP almost exclusively (CL before) and have met some wonderful indy girls, and maybe 2 or 3 that weren't as advertised. Never had anyone after me with a bat I don't trust the Asian ads on BP though, just think there's more B&S from them.

Had no problems on bp. I scope out ones were the pics look legit. Speak to the girl & if sounds nice( not too biz like or scetchy) then I go & check it out. Keep your eyes open & senses about you. Does the place look like good area, clean decent place? No ghetto, run down, sketchy places for me!
