New Guy Observations

I'm relatively new to this Board and the hobby its culture. I'm in Ottawa, and I've not yet seen anyone but before I make the decision to see someone and who that woman may be, I have a couple of thoughts on what I've learned on this board. The first is that BP is full of scammers and is not very reliable and the second is that Asian SP or MA should be avoided at all costs.

Are these observations of mine fair assessments or have I been unfairly interpreting whatI've seen on the Board? What about massage venues such as Paradise and/or Angel's Touch?

I'd say you're not far off. Check here about girls on BP would be my advice and avoid any that are reviewed as flakey or unreliable. Some very good SPs advertise on BP though so look for long time pooner stars of approval. I've never been inclined toward the Asian persuasion so not qualified to comment. I'm not really a massage guy either but many prefer upscale places like CMJ.
When I started I took advice from long time pooners like Cowboy Kenny and a few others before seeing my first. Eventually I was emboldened to take one for the team (TOFTT) and of course this brought mixed results....some good and some bad. You get to know what to look for after a while when looking at pics and reviews and of course in the way the SP or agency replies. It's a grand adventure though so good luck.

bp is an unsafe place to look for sps. Not only it is full of scammers but much worse and better reason to be careful or avoid is that it is also full of pimped and forced sps. That said there are a minority good ones among them too but you have to be very careful to avoid the dark side of this industry. Ask plenty of questions and then call to speak with the lady herself as in most cases pimps make promises on behalf of the girls (reason why one must not demand services in the ads if the lady don't wish to offer them) who are in the spider web being sucked out of their lives and blood. Ask for age verification id if advertised age is between 18 to 21 or if you suspect underage. Avoid the outcall-only asians and asian massage parlours as they are mostly and most likely trafficked. The only semi reliable asian agencies are ap, osh, mb and sl with highly photo shopped pictures but likely not b & s and not trafficked. Look into reviews on this board and you will find a handful number of sps who are consistently being reviewed very positively on this board either for their looks, or sweetness or services or all of above. Avoid acting on recommendations on the sp-biased board unless they are also positively reviewed here as we do have members here being burnt by those fictitious recommendations where nothing negative can be said!!!. I let you do your homework. If you have to go with bp then pick from established ottawa agencies like eh, gp, cmj or pke.

Just as an aside, if you are texting, I have gotten in the habit of actually speaking to the person on the other line at least once to make sure it's not some middle man.

I hate to sound like a cock, but I don't have a lot of sympathy for dudes going the Asian route.
First is the insane amount of fakes-seriously , it's so heavily tilted to one demographic of sp , ya gotta wonder.
Second, i get the distinct feeling women from another part of the world with limited english may not have a lot of say about things when they come to work here (that is not exclusive to sex work, but you catch my drift).

Yes BP is the wild, wild west of this industry. Everything from scammer, fakes to long established providers doing routine advertising. I regularly look through it but actually very rarely use it. When I do use it, it is women that have been at least seen and reviewed by another member. I am just conservative by nature. The money is significant enough to me to want at least a good shot at a good time. I completely stay away from the asians as they are so notorious for 'shopped or fake photos. I also stay away from the 'up 24 hours' girls and especially 'party girls'.

For reliable agencies you'll do well with GP, YourMGF, Explore Her, Lace and Cherries and Pink Kitty. On the MP side in terms of MP I agree stick with CMJ, it's an upscale provider and the attendants are consistently hot. They have just added 6 new attendants, including some who are DDG. Their prices are very reasonable, they're discreet (you can count on them not disclosing any information on you) and the service is first class, you'll feel pampered. The attendants are very friendly and the club is drama free.

Of course there are some excellent choices amongst independents too. Check this board, similar boards and EC and do your research.

One more red flag to add is prices much lower than industry standards. The hh is usually 100$-ish, 1hr is 180-220$ (300-350$ for elite companions), so if you see prices much lower than this its not a good sign. Also "15min" specials in general are not a good sign, no matter the price.

Since you said you were relatively new in this hobby, my first suggestion is for you not to TOFFT ( take one for the team ) in the beginning. Look for well-established and well-reviewed ladies first. Your success rate will be a lot higher and it'll be less risky for you. As CH mentioned earlier, there are some asian agencies with fairly good reputation. I have used Asian Passion and Moonbay previously, and I have been quite satisfied with them. Whoever you would like to see, make sure there are at least a couple of good reviews already posted. This is true with any SP's or MA's. One last thing is that, you might want to view the photos of the ladies before you make the decision. As the saying goes - a picture is worth a thousand words. I would like a rough idea of what she looks like first. I find that it is easier to find photos of ladies on the other site than here on terb. ( Private message me if you want more details).

As far as massage goes you can also go with the ALO group of spas. Many of those ladies are well-reviewed and I've personally been very pleased with the couple I've seen. The spas themselves may be a little less elegant than CMJ but that's okay with me. I suppose if you're looking for a classy-looking establishment then CMJ is the place but, for me, I'm not there for the decor but the ladies and ALO is fine, in both cases (but, to be more correct, I've only been to Luna on Carling, and the Booth St. loc'n, the latter of which could be improved somewhat).
Also, I don't do blanket distrust of all of BP, I use it as part of the decision-making process. And it is often useful for seeing who's available that day for the established indies and agencies (whom others have suggested you stick with, and I agree)

I wouldn't recommend the Booth Street location to a newbie, it's quite rundown.

I hear all the comments on Asian providers and understand totally, there are a pile of aholes out there; I only do massage and in all fairness, if you avoid all Asians you will be missing some great experiences. You do have to do a lot of sifting but when you find a good one, they are really good! Some of my most enjoyable sessions have been with Asian MA's, both in spas and indies.

If you're just starting, as previously stated, stick with the well reviewed spas and indies, there are plenty of them. Once you're comfortable then you can start checking out new places and you just might be surprised and thrilled at what you may come across.

I avoid Asian and East European providers unless there's plenty of supporting information online that they're legitimate providers and not the victims of human trafficking. That's especially true for any spas that employ them. Those are the red zones for sex trafficking - I see any ads along the likes of "Tatiana, 19 and fresh in from the Ukraine" and I stay as far away as possible.

Backpage in general is like the old classified columns in the paper (for those who remember the pre-internet days of looking for providers) - entirely hit and miss.
