Toronto Police cruisers will have a new colour scheme- grey, with the logos in darker colours. I have seen some of these cruisers on the streets, they look cool.

I think it's a good idea, because they will blend in with traffic, hopefully law breakers will think twice , not knowing if the law is around or not.

Definitely waaaaay better than the puke yellow colours drom the past lol.

It's just wrong.

Cop cars should be highly visible. They are supposed to "serve and protect". No??

GTA & Thereabouts...
I'd get it if these were undercover cars or task force cars, but main cruisers (patrol cars) should be highly visible. At some point, you may need to find one.

Right or wrong, the first two things that popped into my head where: 1. Dark vehicles appear more menacing, and 2. This will allow cops to hide out in parking lots, eat doughnuts and socialize.

You're right, they will blend better. What was wrong with the piss yellow cars?
If I remember correctly, the paint was lead based, and a replacement paint wasn't the right shade. But this was 30 years ago.

On the 401 east near Cornwall they have brown cars, I've seen a reddish one and several SUVs. (OPP)

There are times when it is necessary to have a car that is identifiable a a very short distance to be effective. The Montreal Police have ghost cars that have lettering that are the same color as the car. ( See white car in clip @ 0:02-0:04 )

So let's take this scenario...

Young girl is getting funny looks from a dude, and starts walking quickly down the street. He is following.

She's looking for a police car to ask for help, but can't find one.. is that a good thing?

Also if I run out of a bank as it is being held up and look for a cop car, is having a stealth one a good idea? I could turn right out of the bank and run down the street screaming "help" but if there was a car on the left he might not hear or see me as I'm going in the other direction. Old style cars I could scan the street and run to one right away.

Peel and Toronto have cars like that too.

I just assume every Ford I see is a cruiser and act accordingly.

In a perfect world, regular police officers and traffic officers would be two separate entities; having them as both just gives the public a negative feeling towards officers. I understand why they're not separate though.

The stealth cars come with a new motto "To Observe and Collect".
lol Nice
