New ALLURE club in Brantford?

There is an old club on Dalhousie St. in downtown Brantford, being renovated, and has a large ALLURE sign outside now. Does anyone have any info on what is happening there?

Is that the old Rodeo? Or the old Moody's?

Moody's was on Dalhousie, Rodeo on Colbourne.

The old Moody's building was bought by the city and sold to the University with the building license being shut. It can't be a SC anymore.

They were/are both on Dalhousie.

Right, I was thinking of the Cowboy. Yes, there are some renovations happening to the Rodeo, not sure what is going in. Hard to believe the city could get away with granting a new license, perhaps the place by the train station is moving their license.

This place used to be the old Rodeo bar, and the became some kind of swingers club for a short while, then closed down and the renovations have started and the new sign put on the front and side of the building say the ALLURE NIGHT CLUB. The club is on Dalhousie Street, across from the KFC and one business down from the Cenotaph next to the closed gas station. (Sorry, I don't know the name of the cross streets.)

Before it closed for renovations, I heard it was place for swingers on Friday and Saturday evenings. So I'm wondering if is being cleaned up and refurbished for swingers. I don't think there is a chance that it will be a strip club as they are all closed in Brantford now.

Can Brantford's population even support a swinger's club on a long-term basis? When I lived there and was into the scene, I found I did a lot of traveling to meet other couples.

The swingers club was there for a number of years. It recently merged with a club in scarborough. I frequently travelled from burlington to brantford on fridays and/or saturdays. It was good times but it was a lot of work for the couple who owned it to keep it running.

So what is the status of adult businesses in Brantford during 2013? Strip clubs? Swingers clubs? Massage?
