new allergies

Never had spring time allergies before but since Thursday my sinuses have been aching like crazy and I'm sneezing and sniffling and have a headache. I thought I just had a cold.
A friend of mine told me her eyes were watering and her sinuses started bothering her on Thurs. as well but once she was inside it went away. She said she's never had allergies either.
When is the allergy "season" over? Any effective non prescription meds?

Allergy season is usually over around Oct.-Nov (depends on what you are allergic too).

Talk to your pharmacist for meds recommendations. There is a wide variety.

Different allergies can occur at different times of the spring/summer. One allergy might last only a couple of weeks and be gone, some can last the whole summer - it depends what you are allergic to.

How long it lasts depends entirely on what you're allergic to. There's something in the spring that gets me for about two weeks.
