"Trump winning Latinos 44 percent. Donald kept saying he’d win Latinos. Many people laughed. But look!"

"If entrance polls are accurate, Ted Cruz just got crushed. Among evangelical voters. By Donald Trump. Again."

"This says a lot: Trump's won in the moderate northeast, religious south, and far west. He's cutting through traditional voting blocks."

One helluva coalition he's built. The naysayers and race-baiters are eating crow thus far.

"DonaldTrump is 3 for 4 in GOP primary so far. Now, onto Super Tuesday's mammoth endeavor -- where Trump leads polling in most states"

When are they going to finally anoint his Trump ass for the Republican nomination?

Takes too damn long for the obvious. Give the people what they.

Hillary "The Emailer" Clinton, is probably guilty of some crime with her home server, but like, who cares?

Hillary versus Trump. That will be the election of the century for America.

Give the people what they want!

There's no doubt that Giuliani will get one of the top posts in the Trump's administration, maybe an AG. But, I think that Trump/Giuliani ticket will be hard to beat. Of course it's still early.

Giuliani cannot be on Trump's ticket. Constitutionally the President and Vice-President cannot be from the same state.

That's a common mistake. It's not illegal, but it can be tricky.

Trump is from New York (northeast). Ideally, you want a running mate to be from the South, the Heartland or the West.

I'm not totally surprised by the Hispanic support. Some people have been saying that legal, law abiding Hispanics don't like illegal, criminal immigrants anymore than Trump does.

Florida and Texas will be interesting.

Rubio and Cruz have constituents in Florida and Texas respectively and I assume both speak fluent Spanish in these two states with large Hispanic/Latino populations.

Trump does not speak Spanish (I don't think) but he does own a nice house in Florida.

Trump is going to win big in Florida. Cruz will eek out a win in Texas but it doesn't matter because delegates are proportional.

I think the path for Trump is there. 42% in Nevada was impressive. Including 45% of the Latino vote! It all depends on what happens to the other candidates. I don't think many of the Carson/Kasich/Cruz supporters will go to the Donald. So I think it comes down to Rubio vs Trump - establishment vs. non establishment.

He may see some of the Cruz vote. He actually took several areas of hot evangelical support in S.C. And the Tea Party is in many way a protest vote in general. I see no reason he can't have a good portion of them switching over.

Great headlines in the news

"Rubio trails Trump by double digits in home-state of Florida" - "Trump's sizable lead comes from all demographics. Men back Trump over Rubio, 49 percent to 25 percent, while women go for Trump 39 percent to 1 percent"

"Mike Huckabee's daughter is now Trump's senior adviser" - "I volunteered to join Mr. Trump's campaign because he is a champion of working families; not Washington-Wall Street elites," she said Thursday. "Like the other Republican candidates, Mr. Trump is pro-life, pro-marriage, and will appoint conservatives to the courts."

Yep, it's a protest vote, plain and simple. Kids were wishing for a revolution, here it is.

With all due respect, your take on the race and the candidates is far too conventional. It should be clear that this is a race like no other. So many have underestimated the mood of the country and the crossroads in its culture - all of which Trump exploits ingeniously. Leave the conventional wisdom to the talking heads on TV.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie endorsed Donald Trump for president

"Trump's critics have persistently scrutinized his grasp of public policy and his bombastic style. The New Jersey governor’s endorsement potentially recasts the GOP nominating contest, giving Trump — already the undisputed front-runner — the weight and validation of a respected Republican executive officeholder."
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...p-table-main_pp-christie-107pm:homepage/story

Christie was not Trump's only gubernatorial endorsement Friday: Maine Gov. Paul LePage (R) also endorsed the real estate mogul during a radio interview on the "Howie Carr Show." "I think he could be one of the greatest presidents ever," LePage said.
Even statistics nerds like Nate Silver have come around from disparaging Trump's chances of winning the nomination to the reality that he is likely to win.
