i know about the 800-gotjunk guys and all those services and i don't know if they will just come in and clean out rooms or if you got to have it all piled up ready for them, anyone use those services yet ?

also i am wondering about needing a day labour, 20$ to help me clean out the main floor and carry some heavy shit. where would i go or look to find a day labour ?

I don't know whether the got junk guys remove a well as load, or just load. As for the day labour, check out www.laborready.com. I hired a couple guys from them several years ago to move dirt from my pool excavation across to the empty building lot across the road. At that time, it was $15/hour per guy. They have several locations around the GTA.

Got junk provide la luring services but are more expensive than labour ready. Look at the yellow pages for your are. There are lots of companies offering labouring services. Just make sure that they have Wsib coverage and keep valuables out of sight.

i keep looking at this basement and i would rather just tell someone to get after it while i take care of other stuff. i was thinking the got junk guys cuz there are some things like paint and some chemicals that need to be tossed and i would prefer for it to be someone elses problem and just hand them cash.

the guy had a full dark room for developing pics in the basement and all the chemicals are still there.

I used Got Junk a couple times and they did all the lifting and moving , didn't have to pile anything .Freezer ,couch .old recliner, everything you name it .You may have to check about those chemicals cos I had none . It can get pricy if you fill the truck up cos they go by space used .I filled it up and after tax was like $600.

that is close to the price we got as well. 500$ plus tax. so i could just tell them to empty the basement and walk away ?

Is there's a few gallons of anything called 'used fixer' or 'silver nitrate' you might actually make some money! The used stuff used to be worth $20 a gallon and that was thirty years ago.

I seem to recall that Captain James T. Kirk asked the same question a while back. Maybe a search will locate the thread.

no need when i got a new thread full of advice. old threads not started by me are boring. new threads started by me flourish.

Too bad about the multiple calibers . I would have taken off your hands . Now as for the chemicals they might charge you a hefty price to get rid of those .

I had a boat inboard gas tank that was filled with very old gas . The boat dealer said the disposal fee is very high if he got rid of the gas for me . So I gave him 3 , 5gal. gas cans to put the old gas in . I then transferred the old gas into those large water bottles and brought them to the local dump station . We have a hazardous waste disposal at our city dump . They took them no problem ( no charge as expected ). If I gave them the gas cans with the old gas they would have kept the cans . That's why I used the empty water bottles .

If the junk dealer finds out you're giving him chemicals to get rid of you'll pay a fortune .

Got junk definitely works. Cleared a full bin out of the house we bought for about the prices mentioned. Just had to point and get out of the way. I didn't mind paying the money one time for the complete lack of hassle.
