That's terrible.

You could try to look on the bright side, you get a chance to say goodbye and tell her how much you love her. She'll live on within you.

Now for a joke.

As an airplane is about to crash, a female passenger jumps up frantically and announces, "If I'm going to die, I want to die feeling like a woman."

She removes all her clothing and asks, "Is there someone on this plane who is man enough to make me feel like a woman?"

A man stands up, removes his shirt and says, "Here, iron this!".

Hey Raven, sorry to hear about this, you may have already done this, but I went through the same thing just over a month ago with my aunt. If you are still able to see her go see her, I was so happy that I did with my aunt, and I talked to her, just like I always talked to her, letting her know what the kids were dressing up as for Halloween and all the stuff we always talked about before, and say whatever you need to say to her :)

I'd love to leave you with a joke, lol, but maybe I can think of a good one later, I just wanted to come in and say this because having met you once, I know you are a wonderful person and always want to help a friend if I can.

My grandmother was a very important figure in my life. I was her first grandchild and only grandson so I think we shared a special bond that way. She took care of me in my early years, taught me how to read and write. I attribute my academic successes to this early development. Unfortunately, she was a smoker and had her first stroke when she was in her fifties. The second and fatal stroke happened when I was in my final year of high school. I was devastated, it was just like losing a parent. Not having her see me graduate sucked. Sorry for the rant but this brought back a flood of memories.

Sincerest condolences to you Ladyraven. Just remember all the good times you had together.

As Brill said, you have a chance to see her, and informally say goodbye. I'm sorry, I don't have better words to contribute for you. I do know of the loss you'll be facing, as I lost my father when I was around 20 (2nd year of university). I was "fortunate" that he passed away while I was home for reading week.
