Had a friend move in (bad move) then move out owing me rent since November, long distance, food money.... you get the picture...

Argued constantly with my kids...

Mysteriously after a big fight regarding the above... just before he moved out... last 2 days before... mysterious things started happening to my car... one noted that definately my car had been tampered with.

-wiper arm broken ($100)
-battery terminals broken (tow off 401 and fix $300)
-catalytic converter punctured ($800)

Now my engine is seized (tow and diagnostic $300) (metal shavings)...

Is there any way to prove it was him to recoup some of my money?

That really sucks.
This guy sounds disturbed, you shouldn't expect to recoup any money but you could let the police know you've had these incidents. There will be a report, they might contact him. If it continues, they will have documented reasons to pursue him.
If you have a garage, keep your car inside. Get one of those gas cap locks.

On the bright side, be glad he's moved out.

There is no more car... I cant afford the engine... have spent my spare change supporting him...lol

That is the punchline... right to the gut...

Sigh... life goes on...

Do you have police reports on the damages?
