It's that time of year again, 10 games in, we kind of have a feel for the season. Please feel free to post your picks if you're so inclined.

I use Will Hill to bet and they have alternative lines that you can bet at lower odds, I like that because sometimes the posted line is just too tough to call and you could use a few points on either side.

Tonight I have Jazz +10.5 and Timberwolves +14.5. (regular line is +4 and +9)

Yes I would agree on Jazz teaser @ +10.5 but Wolves are winless at home and the best team in the league is coming in. Curry and Co. didn't even play well last night and they beat Memphis on their court by 16. Warriors average margin of victory (excluding the 50 pt blowout game) is 13.5 so in reality you're getting 1 point to play with. That's not worth betting in my opinion, I'd stay away. In the other game tonight I lean towards the Clippers at -2.5 on road in Phoenix. They are coming off a tough loss in Dallas last night but they played well. Dallas shot the lights out. Phoenix turns the ball over too much and Bledsoe's track record against the Clippers is not great.

Jazz +10.5 and Clippers -2.5 that's my parlay :)

The reason I'm picking the Wolves +14.5 is because I have been surprisingly impressed by them, they were absolutely destroying the Hawks the other day by 30 (almost blew it but hung on!) and Karl Anthony Towns has perennial all-star written all over him.

In no way do I think they will win the game, but I think they can hang with the Warriors for a bit who are on a back-to-back and who might take the Wolves lightly and only turn it on when they need to.

Good luck!

Adding 6.5 points to the line is no small change.

It changes odds from -110 to at least -250 to -300.

Yep, it's true, but I parlay two or three of them together. I might not get huge returns, but they are small and steady almost every night.

Tonight I have three three-game parlays. As Maurice93 noted, adjusting the line really does drop the odds significantly, but I'm not greedy:

1) Hawks +10.5 teaser vs the Celtics (regular line is pick-em) Hawks rarely get blown out and Celtics don't have the weapons to do it.
2) Thunder-Sixers teaser over 199.5 (regular line is 209.5) This is a lock.
3) Jazz-Magic teaser under 197.5 (regular line is 187.0) Jazz almost always go under.

1) Rockets money line win vs Nuggets. Nuggets are terrible, Rockets are pissed after a bad loss to the Nets.
2) Mavericks money line win vs. Lakers. Lakers are a joke. Rick Carlisle can coach circles around Byron Scott.
3) Blazers-Grizzlies teaser under 204.5 (regular line is 194.5) Grizzlies can't break 100 if their life depended on it.

1) Raptors-Pelicans teaser over 197.5 (regular line is 207) Pelicans D is a joke.
2) Cavs-Knicks teaser over 190.5 (regular line is 203.5) This is a lock.
3) Pacers-Wolves teaser over 187.5 (regular line is 197.5) Watching the Wolves last night, their defense is terrible.

Good luck!

You were right on both counts, although I think the Wolves were lucky to keep it at 13. Warriors had a poor 4th quarter. Except Curry of course, this guy is just unbelievable!
Obviously I didn't do my homework and if I did I wouldn't have been betting on the Clippers without Paul and Redick in the lineup. Griffin's ejection in the 2nd quarter basically sealed their fate.
Tons of games tonight. I'll post my top 3 bets later this afternoon.

Some surprises for sure last night - Hawks losing by 13 to the Celtics being the biggest one. Raptors blowout was an easy call though as was the Thunder thumping the woeful 76'ers.

Today I'm liking the Pistons +3 to win outright at Clippers. O/U 197.5 I'm leaning to the under especially with Paul and Redick out.
Tonight I like Magic +5.5 at Wizards. And I like the over 204.5
I also like the Mavs +5 at Rockets playing without Howard.

Two big spreads tonight are Spurs -16.5 vs 76'ers and Warriors -17 vs Nets. Not gonna touch them.

Lol, I got crushed last night, but I regret nothing. Totally forgot Durant was out, wouldn't have taken the over on that one if I had remembered. Cavs shot terribly, just one of those games. I don't know what to say about the Rockets, they are so disappointing this year after much hype.

Do you ever play teasers playing around with the line or just go with the posted lines? I'm enjoying the extra cushion teasers give you even though I got crushed last night.

I played teasers on Spurs -11.5 and Warriors -12.5. If the Raptors can beat the Sixers by 16 on the road, Spurs can hopefully do the same at home? Warriors just obliterate everyone and the Nets are just woeful.

Some other teaser picks I have in various combinations are Nuggets +12.5 vs Suns, Pistons Clippers under 209.5, Magic Wizards over 193.5, Mavs Rockets over 199.5, Spurs Sixers under 206.5.

And I have the Clippers money line, I guess we differ on that one and also the Cavs money line.

There was also a special offer of Spurs to win with Aldridge scoring 19 or more points (both have to happen to win) at -118 that was too tempting so I threw something on that too. I think Leonard and Ginobili are out so Aldridge should get more touches.

I've never used teasers in my basketball bets, only football. I may consider them as I lay more bets. I typically wait about 10+ games into the season to get a gauge on how things will play out.
I am totally down with your prop bet Aldirdge +19. Leonard is out so that frees up at least 5 extra shots for LA. Even if it's a blowout I could see LA getting that number by halftime. Good call.
Damn Pistons coach - if the SOB used the rook Stanley Johnson more and sat struggling Marcus Morris (2-10 from the field) they would have covered or even won the game. Griffin was in beast mode and I certainly didn't see Crawford going off for 37, dude has struggled mightily with his shot. Can't complain though I own Blake in my fantasy pool :)

Knicks Pelicans under 204 for the appetizer, then I'll send out more picks after that one.

Well was wrong about the Pistons winning but got the over under correct by 0.5 pt!
Magic didn't cover the spread 22% from downtown doesn't cut it. But got the over right.
Mavs destroyed Rockets like expected.

Nets gave Warriors all they could handle and actually could have won the game in regulation. Jack was unbelievable, should have taken him in the fanduel knowing his track record against the Warriors. I think 76'ers covered spread too. Glad I steered clear.

Yep, seems like both the Warriors and Spurs took their opponents very lightly and you're right, Warriors should have lost outright in regulation on that Lopez tip shot. I'm bummed Aldridge missed that 19 points by only 2! He ended up with 17, had a good chance to get 19 as well in the last few minutes with a little hook shot 5 feet from the basket. Oh, well.

Good call on the Mavs, what is up with the Rockets?

Looking long and hard at the Raptors and Kings tonight. They usually play bad in Sacramento and Cousins is beasting right now. They probably will still win, but it might be tight.

I've got a Celtics +10.5 teaser at OKC, a Lakers-Pistons under 210.5 teaser and a Kings +6.5 teaser vs the Raptors. I think that's gonna be a close game.

I think I'm also gonna take my sig pic chick off posts on this thread from now on, it's starting to make me dizzy seeing it on every post, lol!!

Good night for me last night, only ones I got wrong were the Thunder-Grizzlies under and Lakers-Suns under. Lesson learned: Stay away from the under in a Thunder or Lakers game! I added 10 points to the over/under and they both still went over easily.

Tonight, I can't put enough on the Warriors vs the Raptors in every way: Point spread, money line, over under, it's all happening. I'm going to get teasers for the lowest points and bet heavily on the over and also the lowest margin of victory for the Warriors and bet heavily on that.

I'll make other picks later after seeing where the lines go. Stay tuned. (Although I am probably only talking to K Douglas at this point, LOL)
