Yep, Friday and Saturday nights in the evening they have security guard in the lobby. I guess being on Elgin street on the weekend there might be alot of partying ect and they want to cut down on it. I prefer when an agency or indy is operating out of a higher end hotel. There is usually more discretion and they are less of a heat score. 2.5 and even some 3 stars are usually dirty, sketchy and not very comfortable. The location is another factor that contributes to the overall experience. It's disappointing when your paying some times as much as 3 bills and the location is a dive.

We have used that hotel a number of times, but usually it was during the week and had no probs. It was just on weekends that the guard was an issue. It's not the cheapest location in town, but the rooms are nice and it does give a good impression to clients. Sometimes they have some deals.
