This is one guy in a movement of millions. Show me an organization out there that doesn't have their share of racist bigots. 99.99% of the Tea Party movement isn't racist.By BECKY BOHRER, Associated Press Writer – 34 mins ago
AP - An official with the Tea Party Express on Monday blasted its expulsion from a national coalition over its refusal to oust a former chairman who satirized the NAACP in a controversial blog posting.
The political action committee that raises money for Republican candidates was booted from the National Tea Party Federation for refusing to rebuke spokesman Mark Williams, whose posting referred to NAACP president Benjamin Jealous as "Tom's nephew and NAACP head colored person."
And where would that special knowledge come from? This is one guy in a movement of millions. Show me an organization out there that doesn't have their share of racist bigots. 99.99% of the Tea Party movement isn't racist.
BS!!!!!99.99% of the Tea Party movement isn't racist.
Perhaps she did (she says so) seemingly the NAACP disagrees since they issued a statement denouncing her. Certainly that she resigned her position with the USDA would indicate that all is not as it should be.I don't see the problem.
It IS an NAACP convention; you're going to talk about race.
She did say in the end, that it was more about helping the poor, than black v. white.
Finally an intelligent response to my postPerhaps she did (she says so) seemingly the NAACP disagrees since they issued a statement denouncing her. Certainly that she resigned her position with the USDA would indicate that all is not as it should be.
Of course the NAACP wishes this would all go away since it is hard to label the Tea Party Movement racist, when there is a video of your own Convention seemingly having no problem with her tale of discriminating (and violating a number of Federal laws while doing so) further in video of her talk she seems quite happy about her actions, rather then regretful.
From the news this evening, it appears that both the Department of Agriculture and the NAACP (and in commenting myself as well) may have acted precipitously, as it does appear that at the end she mentions that this was 24 years ago and that she soon thereafter recognized that she was wrong.Perhaps she did (she says so) seemingly the NAACP disagrees since they issued a statement denouncing her. Certainly that she resigned her position with the USDA would indicate that all is not as it should be.
.
I find your ignorance to be spectacularIm fine with her losing her job if she is racist, because racism or reverse racism even if its against white men is wrong. But if she were a white man, who had done that to a black women, he would have been promoted, well at least in the past. If he had done the same thing to a white women he would have been promoted and given a bonus.
Affirmative action is good for some things. Feminism is dead.
