While the info you posted is arguably in the public domain, TERBites generally don't condone the dissemination of private info such as real names. Just because you don't like someone doesn't mean you can broadcast personal info.

This post should be deleted immediately.

That was an interesting read.. I do not see why should it be removed.. it is published on another site, which makes his name public knowledge.

Having read the text on the "published" website.. I concur that the powers that be here are right in their removal of information regarding identies

Just because fromtoronto is upset at Tbills site does not mean that we as a group should go after him.

One very interesting thing.. even though the articles refer to charges there is no resolution to this on going criminal matter, so is it proper to discuss this in an open forum..

What I objected to was the original post which is now thankfully edited. Originally it read, "wheres my post about [person's real name]? and the [weblink] information?" Had the original post just been the link I would have had less of an issue. But the person's real name was there. I just don't think this is acceptable.

We recently saw another case where an SP's name (& address) was published in the Toronto Star. Again, this info is in the public doman but that's no reason to propagate it here on TERB. I think the same principles apply here in fromtoronto's original post.

Because of prevailing societal views, one of the pillars of our hobby is discretion. It's up to all of us to uphold this pillar and not diminish it in any way. Even if it means avoiding naming someone you don't like, discretion should always prevail.

I agree. Even morons like T-Bull deserve the same right to privacy as anyone else.

Although its easy to look at his hateful, misogynistic, and often bizarre attitude and say "fuck him - he deserves what he gets", where then do you draw the line? Who is capable of making that call? If we take away that idiot's right to privacy, who's next?

In my opinion, the only time that a person's private information should be published is if they present a threat to someone else. While T-Bull is guilty of many despicable things, he's never physically harmed (or threatened to harm) anyone.

I wouldn't have deleted the entire thread, but removing the link and his name was the right call.
