This is my moon dance theory. Does anyone see any truth in what I say or am I a pseudo-intellectual that should stop trying to think heavy thoughts?

There is something going on here that is deeper than appreciating MJ and mourning the loss of his entertaining skills.

It is part of our group dynamic to desire a leader that is carried over in our evolutionary development. After all, look at monkeys and apes and their group behavior. We look for leaders , and on a deeper level, father figures, which is why we mourn the loss of our great entertainers (and real leaders as well.)

I mean fuck, a great scientist could die and it will be lucky to make it to the back pages of the sun !

This evolutionary desire to be part of a pack, which is what you are if you are a MJ fan as you are part of his fan group, also leads to separation of the human species into packs and the resulting wars.

As a musician, I know that music has a way of affecting the emotions, and where emotions are concerned, logic goes out the window.

I doubt people think of Michael Jackson as a "leader" or an "alpha", I think he made a lot of great music that affected people emotionally, so when he died, people are responding emotionally to the event, that's all.
