Is it even worth calling the cops for? They are just going make a report and file it…. And if they managed to catch the guy, what will really happen to him?

They may have gotten some coffee money. Not sure what else taken. Both my Phn chargers are still amongst all the shit from the consoles they tossed around inside. Got a sliver size piece of glass in my hand cleaning up. That’s always nice.

You park downtown - like I do - you leave the car unlocked at night and make sure to take all your money out of the coffee cup holder.

My car gets rummaged about once a month. My "priceless collection" of 70's rock classic CD's is always strewn, but never stolen. The wannabe thieves are clearly opera fans. Or maybe Vivaldi.

You can get a replacement from the wreckers and have the local garage put it in.
Not sure what type of insurance coverage you have. For older cars, I only get liability coverage.

I find that a vintage 8 track cassette or two will keep them away as well.
The other option is leaving the door unlocked and an accordion in the back.

You’re lucky I’m not in your hood… I could use some Foghat and Skynyrd in my collection… 🤣🤣😇

I can assure you I had nothing to do with it. Maybe Insidious Von.

I heard of thieves slashing the canvas top of a convertible to get spare change in the cup holder. You need to be careful about that shit.

People who do a thousand dollars plus of damage for a buck should be tortured, shot and then tortured some more. They are not fit to be part of a civil society. Animals should have more rights.

The police will take a report but unlikely send out an officer. Please report it. The police keep track of crimes and will increase patrols in high crime areas.
I did. It’s online here in Niagara. There were several cars in a 2 block radius that I now know of that it happened too. There is house full of crack head losers 2 blocks away. I suspect it was them. The park Iot owner is reviewing video footage tomorrow for me. 63754225-4741-4C5D-A18B-032174E28113.png 6301FED4-FC45-4E72-98D4-15020529DEB2.png

Apparently it has been happening a lot in the neighbourhood 'round here. I don't drive so I got nothing to worry about, but I think it might be a reflection of where we are at economically that it is happening, especially where there is so little to gain by it (in most cases). 😕

Don't report it you'll pay more later if you do
I have a $1,000 deductible and my insurer collects my $$$$ and laughs when I phone them.

The scumola of society have been locked in and locked down, they have lost contact with a lot of their brethren scumbags and/or their clients. The way they made their money in the past has changed, the opportunities are few now. Gang lootings, grab and runs are more common now especially in the states.
Home Depot has to lock up their power tools because they have had too many people just pack up a cart and walk out without paying. Car break ins are up in US cities. Scumola Cacklers are roaming free in the streets of big city USA.
