Apparently pork-derived gelatin has been widely used as a stabilizer to ensure vaccines remain safe and effective during storage and transport

So Muslim people vote NO on accepting any of the current vaccines

Hopefully with my face in a pussy
Islamic law allows for the consumption of pork products if the alternative is starvation, and alcohol for legitimate medicinal use. It should be allowed for a vaccine. And if it was made compulsory, with only legitimate medical exemptions allowed, then they get it or get the fuck out.

I suspect article is discussing forcing brands to switch to alternative methods

There already are Halal methods in existence, not re-inventing the wheel
Just pointing out that in speed to deploy they have neglected a large % of world population

Presumably later roll outs will be more inclusive

The Muslims are always bragging about how they were the pioneers of science. If they're so smart, they should be able to make a pork-free halal vaccine that they won't be condemned to hell for using.

Holy shit, COVID could wipe out half the world's Muslims just like smallpox wiped out half the indigenous people of South America. The vaccine is anti-Muslim, maybe even Islamophobic.

The article mentions a concern with Jews. I would think it would be a small percentage of ultra-Orthodox. i once asked a Conservative rabbi about the use of non-kosher ingredients in medication and he said something to the effect of "if a dog turns its nose up at the ingredient, if placed on the floor, it's no longer considered non-kosher.." Which means it's okay to use medication with a non-kosher ingredient if there is no other alternative.

I would think the same applies to Muslims and that the majority of Muslims will take it.

Also there was some concern among Catholics if the vaccine is morally acceptable because some cell material is derived from fetuses, but the Vatican says it's okay to take it.

The best solution is for everyone whether Muslim, Jew, Catholic or atheist to start to think for themselves and decide what's best for their own health and the health of everyone else. One thing Jesus fought against was the blind following of religious rules.

Well there was that story about Muslims, pigs and bullets in the British East Indian army but we'll talk about that another time.

If the story of the Indian Mutiny has any relevance, then both Muslims and Hindus should find the vaccine objectionable.

You know one of those COVID vaccines was developed by Turkish Muslim scientists working in Germany, huh?

You may want to do a little background reading before running your mouth.

We can talk about it now if you want. It's the Indian Mutiny. I know a lot about it.

It wouldn't be the first time Muslims refuse vaccines, its been going on for years.

Outbreak of vaccine-preventable diseases in Muslim majority countries

The increase in Muslim parents’ refusal and hesitancy to accept childhood vaccination was identified as one of the contributing factors in the increase of vaccine-preventable diseases cases in countries such as Afghanistan, Malaysia and Pakistan.

The spread of inaccurate and irresponsible information by the anti-vaccination movement may inflict more harm than good on Muslim communities. To curb this issue, health authorities in Pakistan and Malaysia have resorted to imposing strict punishments on parents who refuse to allow their children to be vaccinated. Information addressing religious concerns such as the halal issue must be made priority and communicated well to the general public, encouraging not only the acceptance of vaccinations but motivating communities to play an active role in promoting vaccination.

Local government of the affected region need to work towards creating awareness among Muslim parents that vaccinations are a preventative public health strategy that has been practised and acknowledged by many doctors of all faiths.

Polio is still found in the Muslim world, although it's virtually extinct for decades in the West.
