Behind Enemy Lines
Mr. Brooks.
It's Kevin Costner, so to quote Chris Griffin, "How does he keep getting work!?!".
But I watched it, and have watched it several times since the first time I saw it. Perhaps one of Costner's best films since Field of Dreams - every guy loves that movie.

Jade, starring David Caruso. I heard it was a piece of crap. When I saw it on television it was not the best but was in the OK category.

The Next Three Days. With shitty box office numbers and poor reviews in the back of my mind as I entered the theatre, I enjoyed it quite a bit.

The Social Network. Had really good reviews but I was sceptical that a movie about Facebook would be entertaining however found the acting first rate and a ended up being quite engrossed in the film and actually went to see it again at the second run cinema.

Predators. Rather deep in the sequence of sequels to a franchise that wasn't all that good to begin with, but turned out to be pretty entertaining.

Movies you watch without any previous expectations have a great chance of being good.

Not a recent movie but Terminator 2: Judgement Day. About 10 years ago someone forced me to watch it and I kept saying how I hated action movies....but to this day it remains one of my all-time favourites.

Charlie's Angels.

I figured this would work about as well as the "Beverly Hillbillies" movie, but it (the first one, not the sequel) was actually quite good.
