Mother and Two kids got hit by lightening in Brampton this afternoon

I was inside Shoppers (Kennedy and Queen) around 2pm and it was still sunny. Then when I was outside I could see the sky darken then I heard 3 thunders with the lightening that went along with it so I could tell it was close to home....then about 2 mins. the sun came back out. When I came home the first thing on CP24 I saw was this:
