I am 30 and some moron bouncer wouldn't let me into the club on Friday night because I didn't bring ID with me. What a retard! At 30 years old I'm not even close to looking underage. The bouncer told me his name was Conan (probably lying). Anyways, Barefax lost $100 to Barbarella's that night because of this moron.

Not to defend Conan but I think it's important to carry ID with you where ever you go. Cause you never know when you might run into a Conan.
I got carded at Barb's the other night. I'm not a regular there but I'm there often enough that I would think the coat check girl would remember me. Ah well... I just laugh it off... can't remember the last time I got carded. I'm 28 with a noticeable receding hairline (but I keep it shaved to keep my dignity, whaddya gonna do? Genetics! And I have a kick ass goatee) and anyone with half a brain can see that I hardly look like a teenager.
But it is their right to ask.

Maybe Conan was doing his job. Maybe they were doing a liquor law check-up over the holidays so that Conan had no choice to check everyone.
The fact that it sounds like Barb's did the same thing within the week leads me to this conclusion.

This is the only SC and time that I have ever been id'ed. I don't like to bring my wallet around with me in case I get drunk and lose it, get mugged, etc. Plus, why should I have to reveal my full name at a strip club.
Bouncers should be able to identify whether someone looks close to being underage or not. If they can't they should allow the other bouncer to do their job. Despite what many SPs would like to make you believe to get business, no 30 year old looks even close to what an 18 year old looks like.

Big gang going in last spring, eight for dinner and piss-up. Bouncer told one of the girls with us her Ontario license was fake, so she couldn't go in. And her with a group of eight on payday.
Of course there's an "oh come on" hoo-ha. So the manager, shorter lady, long dark hair, comes over. Looks at the driver's license, admits it's real but says, "Sorry, I have to support the initial decision of my bouncer."
What does a hungry group that size spend in a night? $600-$700? Plus tips? Anyway, Heart and Crown was happy to get it.

Think about it....what's $1oo to the Fax? Maybe a dime or quarter to us? Bring the I.D. You should always carry it everywhere.
On the contrary, Barefax is probably a money loser for the owner of Pigales and they should be grateful for anything that reduces the bleeding. I've been there on a weekday evening and been the only customer watching the girl dance on stage. Probably the only reason the owner hangs onto Barefax is to keep an Ottawa licensed strip club. Every time I went there as a horny guy, I would leave even hornier and at least $100 lighter. SCs were a much safer bet when I *wasn't* horny at all: I'd sit down, have a beer or two, watch dancers on stage and chat with a buddy. If you pardon the pun, I want to pay to eat the food, not to smell it! Then again, to each his own...

The standard in that regard is typically $300/hr, but if you get to know them (the good ones) they're less. I've done an hour for 2 bills at Pigs...
However, every dancer is different and you can pick them out easily enough without spending more than $20 on them.
Some like to converse and will take "timeouts" every couple of dances to just sit and talk...all while cuddling up and lightly caressing with you and not charging you just because a) they like you or enjoy your company, b) they want to "extend" their absence from the floor because of slow night or bad drunks that treat them lousy.
Bottomline, you get what you put into it. If you're not willing to spend the time to find the "good" ones and treat them well, etc...then you'll come away with the impression that many mistakenly seem to have about SCs...and like Tommy says...just because you "believe" there is no release involved doesn't mean thats true...

That sounds like the songs they play at Barbarella`s. The Bare Fax is probably the fairest SC in Ottawa as far as minutes per song goes.
One advantage of SCs over SPs: if you`re with a new girl and not enjoying yourself you can stop after one song and not get stuck paying for the full hour.
