According to CBSA, if you arrive in Canada via airport with a POSITIVE Covid19 test then you are not required to go to (nor pay for) a hotel quarantine.
How messed up is that? Test negative, the nazis insist on re-testing you and making you stay in a lockdown hotel for 3 days and thousands of dollars.
Test positive? Go home and have a great day.
CBSA also claims that depending on how "nice" you are effects how much (or how little) your fine for refusing the Covid test will be. Passenger records and publishes to media.
Also (despite media claims) majority of Canadian airports just don't care about quarantine hotels. According to CBC not a single passenger in Alberta has received a ticket. Even worse Quebec in what appears to be an act of defiance basically just fobbed off Trudopes Liberals and said if Feds want to ticket people it's their responsibility not Quebecs (and this is comedy gold coming from a place with lockdowns and curfews)
