Seems that along with becoming more active in Syria, Turkey is moving further from democracy.
The latest is they removed 28 mayors from office over 'links to militants' and replaced them with appointees.

But to be fair, opposition to the Turkish government is also being idiots with continued terrorism with a bomb outside of a government party office killing 48. There are no shortage of terrorists operating in Turkey but the government is blaming the Kurdish PKK.

Sadly it seems Turkey's military involvement in Syria has more to do with fighting Kurds than it does with helping create peace or fighting ISIS.
