More advice needed please.....

I have had a client ask me if he would be able to video tape a session, I would be masked and he will sign any legal document I wish to guarantee my anonymity, he also claims it is just for his personal use.....yeah yeah I know lol.
Assuming he is sincere and presuming I am unidentifiable in this video,,,what would I charge ??? Never been in this position before and am a total noobie as to what to ask for as a donation.
Any ideas?

This is the email I received from him:

hi ty its **** I talked to you on the phone about doing a custom video, ill give you some backround on me im 30 years old, 5'11,,200lbs,i live in down town toronto, ill send some pics with this email,

If it is not a commercial venture then you should be paid for the time spent. Assuming there are no other people in the room.

What to charge I don't know. Who will be filming you should know. What you MUST do is have first dips on seeing video after its done, ask him for tape before he goes and have it developed by someone you know then he can have it. Remember have everything in writing with money up front.

I suppose that makes sense in a way, I do charge for my time after all, not what we do in that time....however, he is taking some of 'me' home with him to spend time with over and over again.....it may sound greedy to some but the time he spends with this video is time he is NOT spending with me directly.....you see?

You should see the card before he leaves, for sure.


We all take some of the other person with us each time we leave. We replay it in our minds on demand. His only difference is it is on disk. You could ask 3 to five times the normal rate based on that. But time is time and you might consider this overtime and that is time and a half.

You might want to look at some of the fine print from photography: Always negotiate damages for any copies found distributed. Never sign away your copyright. Use the "All Rights Reserved" line. Don't agree to let the contract be subcontracted, assigned, transferred, or the video resold. Get his real name, address, and phone number.

As a general rule, assume every digital file will be distributed. Also, if you care about anonymity, then don't do it. If the file hits the internet, then you get to sue for damages, but the story will become completely public. Think about how much Paris Hilton would have paid for those pictures to never have happened.

if it is with a client you know and trust and have seen many times that is one thing someone you have never met or only met once or twice.......
no matter what the contract says once it is all over the internet the damage is done!

maybe you should see him as client with a 'regular' session and assess how comfortable you are with him.
it seems a bit risky doing something like this with a new client as a first session.

Charge normal rate for the session $200/hr or whatever you charge and then after you finish editing the video charge him an extra $200 for that time and release a DVD copy of the session to him.

BONUS: Also make a deal that you can use that video for promo if he is wearing mask or something to hide identity. You now have an SP promo video to put on your site.

I think you have mentioned before that you have grown kids. Would they recognize you? I hope not.

I have seen many of your pics in different locations on the net and i bet i could recognize you if you (even though you hide some of your face) if you walked passed me on the street. As much as i would love a really nice pic of some of the ladies i have seen, my respect for their privacy is so much that i would never ask.

There are way too many videos on the net that are from hidden cameras. Recall some ass who bragged some time ago on another board about clandestinely videoing his meetings with SP's and offered them for sale.

Not worth the potential damage.

I would like to offer a suggestion about your post though. While you removed some of the details from that email, there's still a lot in there that might identify the guy. For the sake of discretion I'd suggest removing the rest of his personal stats. They aren't relevant to your question. IMO...

Thank you hon, I guess if someone was specifically looking for me they would recognize me through my pics but hopefully none of my kids or friends are cruising the internet looking for mature bbw's I will pay better attention to hiding my face when having pics done however. Thanks for the advice.

I have videod with clients on several occasions..even before getting into porn. I successfully taped with a tripod where both the client and myself wore masks or we filmed from the neck down. Why in the world would he distribute it? and if he did.. who would know it was you? There's no harm unless you are covered in tattoos that would instantly make you recognizable. He is going to use it for his own personal use! He has no more desire to be spread around the internet that you do.. and if he did.. I reiterate. Who would know/care? I charge 100 extra regardless of the length of the session but now I don't mind if my face is there either.. and in fact it's promotion for me I also find it a turn on.. being an exhibitionist of sorts. Thank you all for your advice, I have certainly had my eyes opened and have decided to have a friend do the taping as suggested. That way I have complete control of the results. I very much appreciate the sound and wise input from you all.
