Oh and btw, he has heavy Tory connections.

Yeah, Applebaum was the first anglo mayor in a hundred years.Corruption, conflict of interest (Hazel), no big deal. It wasn't like they were alleged to be smoking pot.
P.S. The previous Montreal mayor Gerald Tremblay was forced to resigned under suspicion of corruption. Tremblay sounds like a Francophone name.
My goodness counsellor, it would seem you have formed an opinion without seeing the evidence. Are you just happy that the heat is off the Quebec Liberals and Charest for stonewalling the establishment of this commission for so many years ? Or that Laval's mayor was a Gilles Vaillancourt was a Liberal supporter.http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/...ayor_michael_applebaum_has_been_arrested.html

What if they are not Francophone but wear a turban?Marois earlier statements that all elected officials in Quebec need to be francophones.
They can't play soccer in Quebec? What if they are not Francophone but wear a turban?
And can pretty well guarantee that they were NOT Tories !!!6 current and former Quebec mayors have been arrested for one reason or another in recent years.
Applebaum is Anglo...really?......hahahahhahahahThis is what you get when you choose an Anglophone mayor.

You also appear to have come to the conclusion that this is not politically motivated (as your comments obviously are) or have anything to do with Marois earlier statements that all elected officials in Quebec need to be francophones.
