In the laboratory.
What a sad ending for Canada's first MLB team. I still remember the days when fans went from Toronto to Montreal to watch them. Now the attendance is an embarassment and the scheduling of 'home' games in Puerto Rico is a scandal.

Time, well past time, to move them to a more baseball appreciative area.

It does suck the spo's cant draw. I was on my way back home one year and noticed my Cardinals were playing the spo's so we stopped and went to a couple of games . had a good time, back then i think they averaged 20thou for a game. I have always wondered what happened to make it so bad since then. GO REDBIRDS

Being a Twins fan I can appreciate how the Expo fans feel, MLB puts a target on both teams. At least the Twins pulled it out - clinched this week!

it is a shame what has happened to the expos. the city of montreal has had enough time to save this franchise, but, seemingly, nobody, not one (or several), big corporations, or a well financed person, has stepped forward. the stadium issue is a big part, but really, not the deal breaker here. the fans just stopped coming, and the team stopped making any financial sense. the funny thing, it is not that far-fetched to one day, envision our toronto blue jays in this position. the fans just dont go to the games here anymore as well. and ted rogers doesnt really spend the money necessary to compete with the yanks, sox and O's, all in the same division.

that '94 team was unreal! too bad....

ahhhhh, andre "the hawk" dawson. gary "the kid" carter. even though it was before my time, how can any canadian forget rick monday's homer, to take the 'spos out of the playoffs. alot of very good players have worn the expo uniform over the years! thanks for many memories......

Game should have been televised the game tonight, and they could have opened the stadium for all to come. oh well.

I thought I heard that MLB still hadn't finished comtemplating their navels and that the ultimate fate of the Expos might be resolved for some time. Which means the Expos might still be in Montreal/PR next year.

It seems that attendance has been a problem in Montreal for some time, but does anyone know--did the Expos ever draw well?

As a Mets fan, I thank the Expos for Gary Carter, of course, and for one of my all time favorite players, Rusty Staub.

Montreal did have fans ... in the early 90's. Their attendance problem is about a decade old. But they haven't cared about baseball since ... hmm, is it time for the Jays soon?

I went to see what I thought what would be the last 'spos game in Montreal (2002) against the Braves!

I knew Washington was the likely destination for the Expos, despite the whining of that pussy, Peter Angelos. However, I was kind of hoping for the outside shot, Las Vegas.
