Nothing but he says the same thing over and over. Ask him about the weather, he'll give the same answer.:D

BTW Sheik, I agree. I couldn't watch it, had to change the channel when it came on.

He probably got confused with MNF and MLE. LOL.

In case you guys missed it.... basically guys dressed in costumes with giant heads and feet in the likeness of the various Monday Night Football hosts were pitted in a foot race.

The ranks up there with watching people on tricycles, throwing balls from armchairs, kids in silly events etc. It just seems cheap and amatuerish.

Speaking of MNF did anyone else get a bit choked up with the Teddy Bruschi/make a wish foundation segment? I mean I know part of it is done as a PR thing. But I imagine when celebs take time out of their schedule to do this sort of stuff for a kid there is some feeling on their part and of course it means the world to the kid.

I'd actually talk about the game but I think it's safe to say that even this years Pats is still better than the Vikes. I mean if you let Brady sit back and throw for over 250 yards in the first half..... you're in for a long night.

Personally I am amazed at the job the Pats do of continuing to field a competitive team despite losing key players every year. Every year there are a few players that leave and people say the team won't be the same. But with the loss of Branch and Givens (I think).... Brady is still getting it done with a WR core that lacks the star power of say a Owens, Johnson (Chad or Keyshawn), Moss, Walker, Steve Smith etc......

Here
It was a blatant ripoff of the Milwaukee Brewers' sausage races that they have during the 7th inning stretch of each home game. At least THOSE are funny (and occasionally end up in a brawl).

This ... thing.... was embarrassing at best.

Yeah a brawl would have made it interesting. Although it was funny to watch the Steve Young mascot struggling to put his head/mask back on when it popped off when he dove over the finish line.

He was afraid his friends and family might have seen him and taunted him for being involved in such a pansy-ass halftime display. He would have been better off putting on a tutu and singing Tiptoe Through the Tulips.

Never the safest place
Can anyone stand listening to those three MNF guys for more than a few minutes before you press mute on your remote? It sounds like they've been warned a bomb will go off if two seconds go by without one of them gabbing away at a hundred miles an hour.

LOL. Yeah the commentary can be inane sometimes. But I have to admit when I was a kid I did pick up a lot about various sports by listening to the commentators. I mean now it seems redundant but I guess they are there in part to enhance the experience of new viewers (the more straight ahead commentator) and hopefully entertain older viewers (colour commentary).

Personally I enjoyed Dennis Miller on MNF.

Even though the chatter can be crap sometimes I'm so used to it. Live sports sometimes feel weird without it.
