There was another post about The Apprentice where I opined the men have been bad businesspeople and deserve to be getting their butts kicked by the women. Since I have watched every episode, my synopsis:
Episode 1 - Operate a lemonade stand. Seems to me the key to this is having a good location with heavy traffic. The men chose a site by the Fulton Fish Market, the women in midtown Manhattan. You do the math.
Episode 2 - Create an ad campaign for a small airline service. The women met with the client to understand what they were looking for. The men didn't. 'Nuff said.
Episode 3 - Negotiate the lowest price possible for a set of 10 or so items. Again, just thinking about this for a few minutes, it seems to me to way to succeed here is to figure out which are the highest ticket items, and which items have the most negotiation room. The women won because they did this.
Episode 4 - Run a Planet Hollywood restaurant in Times Square for an evening. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the best way to do this is to a) drive traffic into the store, and b) squeeze as much revenue as possible out of each customer once they are there. The women did both, the men didn't.
But it will be different next week, because they are going to mix the teams together. And I agree, Kristi and Ereka are quite cute. So are Amy and Katrina. Heidi, not so much.
