I was watching global News the last few nights on this issue, and all I can say is, "Whatever happened to Journalism"? Where is the fair-minded discussion of the issue pointing out both sides of the issue at hand?
I was never able to hear from the non-indigenous side what their explanation was, what their point of view is. All the news was occupied with was demonstrations of support for the indigenous side and hearing their explanations. It seems to me that there are various social activists out there that will always take the side of anyone except the white man, and THEY get all the sympathetic coverage.
Law and order is great in this case, not so great when railway blockades are bringing the country to its knees.
I am not taking a side - right now, the news has only presented one side. I would love to hear the other side present it's case. I don't know what it is.
