You would have to glue them in different spots
Searched the net and pure pepperment oil will deter mice.
Soak cotton balls then put in socks then store in the engine compartment away from heat sources.

Leave hood open as mice want enclosed space. Of course, not if it is going to rain out.

Leaving hood open is short term solution

Final solution-

- this is a winter issue only. In summer, mice do not need protection from cold and the heat of the engine will repel them, in winter, it attracts them

- only permanent solution is mouse repellent tapes. Strangely, even dealerships do not have them.

like WTF? The wires should have been coated with mouse repellent tape (capsicum) when installed
then they have none ????

I ordered some, but now what??? Should I pay a mechanic to do the work ?

Too much money for a car worth 7 grand

I will put tape on the wires that I can tape myself, then keep fresh peppermint oil in socks, and that is all I can do

The problem should not exist; manufacturers should have thought of it

The only plus is the peppermint smell is inside the car

Wait till you get a mouse nest in the exhaust system, bubby of mine had it you have a choice tear the exhaust apart to clean it out of burn it out. Just done get behind him in traffic...
Just like SeaFoam with a bit of gas in the tank on run before you change the plugs, eh!!
