A Saskatchewan woman who overdosed on crystal methamphetamine has successfully won a precedent-setting civil lawsuit against the drug dealer who sold her the highly addictive drug.

Dont laugh, right after that lawsuit, McDs offered a 'healthy choice' menu. Now they can say the fat fuckers knew the facts and chose the lard over the salads...

This case was basically decided on a procedural issue. The Defendant refused to answer from whence he had procured the drugs, and the Judge granted summary judgement.

An unknown drug supplier, referred to as John Doe, was also named in the suit. Davey ( the meth dealer ) refused to name his alleged supplier during court proceedings, prompting a judge to strike his claim of defence.

Without a claim of defence, Davey effectively admitted his liability in the case leaving Bergen's suit unopposed.

Actually the case went to court as a way for the dealer to give up his source.
