memory stick pro duo question

having just bought a new sony camcorder I need a memory stick....my old camcorder/camera has one that I bought long ago it's not even 1G...lol but at the time it was 100$+ lol

is there a diffrence between scandisk,lexar or sony??? I was looking at the 8G scandisk one for 60$

Having only bought the one ever 3-4 yrs ago I am curious if anyone has any info

I would stick to the brand name ones like you listed.
They are pretty much all the same. I recently bought an 8G SanDisk for $15 as a 'Black Friday' special. They also had a 16G for $30 but it was sold out. Have seen them going up to 32G and prices are dropping.

I don't think so.....but the experts will quibble.

Also have a 1G Lexar, over a yr old.

I'd just keep away from the off name brands.
